My Wedding Day

Today I am going to be sharing with you my WEDDING!! May 29th, 2021 was truly the most magical day. I want to give credit to some people who made my wedding vision come to life and made me the happiest bride.

Photographer - Mackenzie Smith!!! Not only was she my photographer, but she is now a friend.  Back story on us- Sam and I met her while she was on vaca with her family in FL last year. She reached out over Insta and asked if she could take some beach pics of us! I quickly accepted and we quickly hit it off. 2 months after that shoot I was engaged and Mackenzie was my first call! She is the sweetest person ever and captured my special day perfectly!!  I didn’t feel any pressure the entire day to “pose” for a photo. I didn’t feel like I was being followed around either. The whole thing was just so natural and the pictures turned out better than I could have imagined!

Venue- Legacy Lane Weddings was the dreamiest place to get married!! Hands down the best place ever and I recommend it to anyone! Their staff was so sweet and they went above and beyond. The entire process was a breeze with them. It included everything a bride could ask for. It’s the little things like them hand delivering brunch the morning of, setting up every table and decorating the center pieces just how I had imagined, and dropping off a goody bag for Sam and I the next morning that make them so special. PLUS they give you an incredible day of coordinator.

Florals- Fern and Sun Palm did my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets. I absolutely loved the dried flower look. Not only is it a vibe but the BEST PART is that after the wedding is over, you can use your bouquet as decor in your house and keep it forever! Once we decided on the dried floral look - my aunt helped me put together the most amazing flower arch 😍 Thanks Aunt Shannon!

Hair - was done by Christina at BraydnBlonde and she did the most amazing job!! If you know me- you know my hair does NOT hold a curl. But it was a miracle Christina got them to stay all night! She also did my extensions and I highly recommend them for your wedding. They elevate your hair to the next level.

Makeup- My whole look was made perfect thanks to Valeriia over at LashVie! She has been doing my lashes on and off for several years now. By far the best in the business and I highly recommend her for any occasion. Not only is she the sweetest person ever- but she will help you choose the perfect lashes based on face shape and ideal overall look. But act fast! She books up quick :) As far as the actual makeup goes, I did it myself!!! I had my makeup done by a (very popular) local wedding place and I HATED it 😳 it made me look 20 years older and it was dark and heavy. It didn’t look like me at all! So I practiced a few wedding looks on myself and did it for my big day. It stayed all night! Maybe I’ll do a wedding look tutorial 💗

Annnnnd I know this person isn’t a vendor but they may as well be a one woman show-

Tami, my mom!!! From start to finish SHE was the one who made things happen and got things done 💪🏽 I’m not going to lie I could have cared less about some things but she made the wedding actually come to life. To name a few small things she did… (that also can save you $$)

  1. She bought a cheap Publix cake and decorated it herself (this is the cake we cut- our guests ate sheet cake)
  2. She collected palm fronds, pampas grass, you name it!! To create the most epic wedding looks - all the decor she found for next to nothing $
  3. She shopped around for cheap things that weddings need to have (that I honestly just didn’t care about). Like our “guest book” was a jenga puzzle people could write on. She found it super cheap at Michaels and it’s actually something Sam and I could use/play! I was very flexible with things like the guest book, seating chart, welcome signs etc.
  4. She bought many things off of Amazon and made them “wedding material” by simply tweaking a few things here and there!
My mom also used the help of her bff's Jill & Melanie so a BIG thank you to them as well.

The whole day was pure joy and I would re-live it over and over again if I could.
